Helen and Don both hope Winston will change his mind

The Maori Party cant be in a Labour Government due to its views on the Foreshore and Seabed legislation
The Green Party cant be in a Labour Government if Winston is in the picture.
NZ First won't be in Government - or support it on confidence and supply - with the Greens or Act - unless Winston changes his mind.
The Greens cant be in Cabinet if United Future gets its way.
The Maori Party could possibly get a confidence and supply agreement with either a left or right Government - but could then do a members bill to change the foreshore and seabed legislation
Act cant be in a National led Government if NZ First has a say - unless Winston changes his mind
United Future could be on both a Labour or National led Government, preferably with Maori on confidence and supply
The Maori Party could be in a National led government if the Maori seats and treaty principles are retained - and NZ First could have confidence and supply if Winston changes his mind on Act.

If nothing changes after the specials, the most stable option would be a National -led Government with Act, United Future and NZ First with the Maori Party on confidence and supply. That depends on Winston. The other option is an unstable Labour Government with the Greens outside cabinet - and that wont last. It also depends on Winston workng with the Greens If it ends up being the latter option, it would be better to go to the polls to try again for a stable government.

Of course if the Greens pick up a seat after specials, the Grens will blein Government with Labour.
