Well, that settles the election result, then

The National Football League's Redskins lost 28-14 to the Green Pay Packers at home on Sunday.
The legend surrounding the Redskins' last home game before Election Day is simplicity itself: If they win, the White House incumbent will remain president. If they lose, the incumbent loses. So Kerry put out a media release noting the significance of the win, just after the final whistle.

Going into the 2004 vote, the Redskins' electoral barometer has held true for 80 years or 17 straight elections -- a record that professional pollsters can only dream of.

Then again, no horse as won the Melbourne Cup two years in a row, and I backed the winning horse this year. I also predicted the Aussie PM's victory.

It remains to be seen whether I get the trifecta- a GWB win. It's just so close.
