The National Council of Women has come out in opposition to civil union legislation saying that it undermines marriage.

Does this mean that Don Brash will now oppose the civil union bills? After all, he is on record saying that one of the key reasons that he voted for the Prostitution Law Reform Bill is that the National Council of Women supported it.

I wonder what the Human Rights Commission thinks of the NCW views on the gay bills, particularly as the HRC web site features the NCW site as "a website relating to specific areas of discrimination and human rights".

It goes without saying that the HRC is strongly supportive of both bills.
