ACCs rehabilitation
I worte this earlier in the week and it is clear that ACC is about getting people off ACC through its vocational assessments that don`t actually rehabilate.
The problem with ACC is the maximum length of time allowed for vocational rehabilitation under the ACC Act is three years. Meaning if you haven't been rehabilitated properly you are shafted to hide the fact that ACC can' rehabilitate you. What this essentially means is that ACC sends you on a vocational assessment, and if that doesnt shaft you they then send you on another one. Then another one. Some people have been on six in the past three years. ACC want to send as many people on vocational assessments as they can so they say they have " rehabilitated" people.
This isn't rehabilitation and if ACC thinks it is, then they should be funding legal fees for people who challenge decisions who are now on benefits - or don't qualify because their partner works - because they are not rehabilitated, despite paying ACC levies so they can get rehabilitated should they have an accident. Firstly, I believe these Vocational Assessments are manufactured in an insidious way to relieve or neglect any REAL interest in someone's disability limitations to work, in the first place.
While that may seem an obvious place to start, it is overlooked, and machinations that are used within the system-thinking and design of the administration to SIDE STEP more immediate fundamental issues relating to the whole person.
Work assessments: Some are jokes at best, and within government departments I might add – such as WORKBRIDGE – which is both ironic and hilarious when you come to think of it.
IN FACT, WORKBRIDGE IS JUST A PIG TROUGH FOR CONTRACT ORGIES;
‘REPUTABLE PROVIDERS’ OF ‘REHAB’ ARE IN THERE SUCKING AS MANY DOLLARS OUT OF ACC AS POSSIBLE – AND THEY ARE DELIVERING TRASH, TRASH, TRASH, TRASH AND NONSENSE. DESIGNED BY A PACK OF USELESS ACADEMICS AND CONTRACT MANAGERS ( errr – does that sound like our health system in general, fellow Kiwis ?)THAT HAVE LOST ALL SIGHT OF TRUE GRIT VOCATIONAL REHABILITATION AND JUST WANT TO PEE ABOUT WITH THEIR FELLOW CRONIES AND RIP YOU AND ME OFF DAVE.
AND THEY DO THIS WELL, AND THEY DO THIS OFTEN. I doubt any truly meaningful investigation is done by ACC to check the quality output of these organisations. No, it’s all about sheering sheep mate, that’s all – you see, we all come out looking the same result. Yeah !!!! – I am delightfully brainwashed like you now fellow disabled folk ; and it’s a pretty picture to the casual observer.
Back to Workbridge. I have had very very bad experiences with this organisation. What goes on with some of the lowered voices there, the REAL PART OF THE WE’LL TAKE GOOD CARE OF YOU PROCESS - IS DISGUSTING. Oh, dam I hate censorship laws – I would really love to give you some first and last names here, except for maybe, oh, well, you’ll just have to do for now Ruth Dy$on.

If it's corrupt it must be pulled down.
People (individuals) must be held to account for decisions.
I question why is someone not rehabilitated?
Who says?
What is rehabilitation?
If it a case of the law being as ass then it must be changed.
We should allow a amnesty for whistle blowers to get all the truth out of there.
We can then know who not to employ in govt service in the future from the revelations.
