the labour cabinet roll of honour

Muriel Newman, in her latest newsletter has noted the following:

June 28, 2000 -Dover Samuels was sacked after allegations of sexual misconduct.

October 31 2000 - Ruth Dyson resigned from Cabinet after being caught drunk driving..

February 23 2001 - Marian Hobbs was forced to resign adter investigations into accommodation allowances.

July 23 2003 - Harry Duynhoven was stood down while the Government changed the law to avoid a resignation because Dynhoven renewed his Dutch citizenship.

February 20, 2004 - Lianne Dalziel resigned from Cabinet after lying about an immigration case.

April 30, 2004 - Tariana Turia resigned from Cabinet and quit Parliament over Labour’s foreshore and seabed legislation.

November 3, 2004 - John Tamihere resigned from Cabinet over controversial claims of irregular golden handshakes.

May 16, 2005 - David Benson-Pope was stood down while being investigated for assault against students. A prima facie case was established, but the police decided against prosecution.

September 20, 2005 - Taito Philip Field investigated over a visa application case. He lost all ministerial responsibilities.

March 20, 2006 - David Parker resigned as Attorney General over revelations that he had filed false company returns. The next day he resigned from all ministerial posts

However this list does not include Helen Clark's paintergate episode, her speeding motorcade episode, the 400,000 overspending on the pledge card, Doongate, Chris Carter changing the law he didint like over the Marina, Pete Hodgson's assault on Madeline Flannagan, Dover Samuels peeing in the hotel corridor, Shane Jones double dipping as a fisheries commission chairperson - and then quietly getting that $70,000 tenure extended until next year, Maharey's lie in Parliament that nobody has gone from the unemployment benefit to the sickness benefit, Benson Pope's lie that he had proof that the Maxim Institute was being funded by conservative US Fundamentalists, all of which were outed in the first three weeks of the month concerned.

Assuming I havent left anything out, that's one major transgression every four months since June 2000 - and these transgressions are getting more frequent the longer this parliamantary term progresses. Six inside the past year.

When will it stop?

What does this tell us? Labour Ministers should really keep alert between the 20th and the 30th of the month.

What about Helen’s unsubstantiated claim that the National Party started the rumour that she is a lesbian? It is more likely that rumour started within her own party after she rolled Mike Moore. If Helen cannot support her allegation against the National Party she should withdraw it and apologise.

A sad tale. However, have any of them been exonerated? If so, should that not be mentioned, too?

as collectivists perhaps that means
they go through some kind of hormonal cycle that renders them prone to mood swings, irrational behaviour and acts of lunacy?
