the 50 most influential Christians in the US

For what it's worth Here's the list. A few comments:
The Pope is on the list. He's not even an American, or living in America. Dr Phil is on the list. How many even knew he was a Christian. Mel Gibson is nowhere near the list. Neither is Jessie Jackson. Crazy. If the Pope can be on the list, why not U2's Bono. He spends more time in the US than the Pope and has a greater influence.

Perhaps the list should have been 50 Christians that either happen to be related to Billy Graham ( there's three in his family on the list) have written a book, been on TV, or have written for the publication that put out the list. George Bush is also on the list - is he there because he is a Christian who led a war with Iraq, or a President who happens to be a Christian.

It seems that there list would be better described as "the 50 leaders most likely to influence the general American Christian society". Perhaps Mel Gibson and Bono are left off because they can influence all of American society, not just the Christians! Still, it a complete oversight that Mel Gibson is left off the list, he probably has the influence to do more for the cause of Christ than any other person alive at the moment.

I read a book by Schuller and he doesn't sound anything like a christian, he sounds like a new-age guru. And Benny Hinn, hmmm, after seeing a news report about his finances I don't know what to think about him.
