The 9th Floor spin
We were not speeding.
I don’t think we were speeding.
I was too busy to notice if we were speeding
I was working the papers in the back seat at the time
I felt safe in the car at all times
Don’t blame me, I wasn’t driving
It was not my decision to speed.
The decision was made by the police.
It was my Press secretary 's decision to speed
It was an error of judgement
I actually enjoyed the ride
The next statement: "Woohoo, we were gong flat out - just like the boy racers, but faster. I wanted my own thing - and I thought, why not V8 street racing in Waimate?"
UPDATE It wasn't me who told my press secretary to speed it was the Prime Minister. Blame the Prime Minister, don't blame Helen Elizabeth Clark.I was just a woman in labour in the back seat. Of course we had to speed.

Well done - I had blogged similarly earlier myself. Your summary made excellent sense.
Just loved the parodising of the PM speaking with Helen Elizabeth Clark...very droll. I am sure that is how she thinks - suspended reality between what she has done as Helen Clark and what the Prime Minister has done.
