Tamihere's history

Tamihere is not going to front up to caucus on Tuesday to apologise to the tosser and the swarmy one as the boss has give him extended leave after his latest comments .

"I`m sick of hearing how many Jews got gassed," Tamihere said.

Quite a few people are getting sick of hearing what is inside Tamihere's mind. Particularly Labour people.

He also bad-mouthed close ally Clayton Cosgrove. Helen Clark put out a media release this evening, saying Tamihere was under "considerable stress". I would be too if I was about to lose my job.
"He has made statements to a journalist which are deeply offensive to New Zealanders. The statements are also offensive and utterly unacceptable to the New Zealand Labour Party.

Last time Clark commented on Tamihere she said that he meant no offense. She didn’t say it this time.

It is clear that Clark wants Tamihere's vote, but doesn't want Tamihere. He may even be de-selected. If Tamihere does resign, there will be no by-election as the election is within six months, but an early election may be on the cards even if he doesn’t go. Some are saying Tamihere may join the Maori Party, given that Tariana Turia has agreed with just about everything Tamihere has said in Investigate magazine. However Turia and Tamihere are, you could say, not the best of mates at the moment, so I don’t think Tamihere will be a Maori MP.

Maybe he'll be a talk-back host like Wishart.

I do, however, think the Maori party will be the party to watch at this election. I recon they`ll take at least six of the Maori seats.
