NZ disagrees with the UN

On Tuesday, the United Nations General Assembly endorsed the Doha Declaration for the Family, endorsing the the traditional family as the foundation of society

The Doha Declaration reaffirms that the "family is the natural and fundamental group unit of society and is entitled to the widest possible protection and assistance by society and the State".

In supporting the declaration, Member States also agreed to "uphold, preserve and defend the institution of marriage."

Needless to say, New Zealand didn`t vote for it. New Zealand continued to have difficulty with elements of the resolution, and felt that the present debate on the family was being used to attack long-standing consensus agreements on family diversity, the advancement of women and children's rights.

Why am I not surprised.

Why is this not fully reported by Aunty Helen's tame lapdog news media?

When are New Zealanders going to wake up to the truth about the Labour party and it's government?

We voted them in with the party vote lets not make that mistake next year.

It was in the print media. In any case, there are a variety of media outlets in this country, and no-one has a monopoly anymore.
