police car runs red light

Apparently there is a bit of a campaign against running red lights in Auckland. They should have one in Wellington - and start with the police.

Thats because a certain male officer driving a police car at about 20-30 kph ran a red light in Dixon Street at 12:30pm today. No sirens or warnings. I had to retract my steps to so the car wouldn't hit me as I tried to cross the road.

The registration number was DCH739. Police should stop running red lights before telling others not to.
