The Green Brand
The Green party is a brand. Lots of people like the Greens, even though no electorate wanted a Green MP representing it. Now the Greens need a new leader. Nandor is seen as a bit of a kid, 40, dreads, skateboard, y'know, that kind of thing, and is seen to have an extreme stance on cannabis and a hempy taste in suits. Keith Locke, on the other hand, is seen as extreme on Foreign policy.
But how would Nandor be percieved if he just got a nice conservative brown suit, a short back and sides haircut, with a tidy fringe like National MP Simon Power, and a close cropped moustache. Could he be leadership material, or at least look like leadership material? Or would he be seen to look so conservative that he would stand out like a sore thumb in the Greens caucus, quit the Greens, become a Mormon and quit his skateboard for a bicycle.
