Big News exclusive
Just as I suspected, a Christian group is behind the smear leaflets - no, its not the Christian arm of the National Party, it is The Exclusive Brethren. Jeannette Fitzsimons was surprised - and said so. Michael Cullen was also surprised - but didn’t say so. Nor did he apologise for saying "It seems pretty obvious a National Party front organisation is being used." Obvious to whom? No-one now.
The Exclusives - wacky as many of them are - don’t support civil unions, prostitution laws or any laws pertaining to unmarried couples. They don’t like Labour's social engineering. Nor are their kids in foster homes or in the care of CYFS. Nor are they unemployed - there is no unemployment in the Exclusive Brethren Church. Nor are they school truants (the Exclusives teach their own kids and give them all jobs). Nor is anyone from the Exclusive Brethren in prison. Nor do they have big student loans as they are not allowed to undertake tertiary education. I`d be surprised if any of them are owing child support. They probably pay off their credit card every month (if in fact credit cards are allowed) and get their mortgages through other church members as dealing with "outsiders" is banned - except of course for essentials like going to the supermarket and the petrol station.
In fact the Exclusive Brethren are not really a burden on the state at all - and they don’t even vote.Perhaps they shouldnt complain either if they cant be botheredto vote. If they did vote they`d probably vote Christian Heritage and reduce the proportion of CHP voters who watch porn, as members are not allowed to use computers, videos or TVs - or read secular magazines and modern versions of the Bible.
Strange, though, that the church has an authorised site on the Internet, given that computer use is banned.
