One Tree Hill is famous. It used to be famous for having one tree. Even U2 wrote a song about it - called One Tree Hill. Then some Maori guy came and chopped the tree, killing it.

Ever since the Council has forbidden people to plant trees there. Even broadcaster Paul Holmes reacted to the Auckland City Council's removal of a newly planted tree on the Hill by planting one. The Council reacted by getting rid of that too.

So radio station 91ZM decided to have a bit of fun and plant its own tree.
