we don't need no thought control

Its 25 years since Pink Floyd released their song Another Brick in the Wall. The teacher of the kids who sang in the chorus is now living in Australia and is interviewed here(requires registration). here's a similar article if you can't be bothered registering.
"I was always the maveric teacher…. I didn't see anything improper in taking the kids out to a recording studio that was just around the corner," Mr Renshaw says. " I would have been sacked today, of course".

"Apparently I turned slightly ashen when I saw the words," he says. "I did think, 'Oh dear, this could upset a few people' But then I thought, it's Pink Floyd, the biggest pop group in the world. They want us to sing on their album. Who cares what the words are? Margaret Thatcher... hated it".

The kids are to sue for royalties for the song.
