gearing up for the election
I hurt either a muscle or a nerve ( or both) my shoulder last week, meaning I can't sit down for longer than 30 minutes without pain so I can't blog that much.
In the US, some bloggers get treated like the media, and get invited to report on party conferences. In New Zealand , some of those who are not already journalists get to be campaign managers for prospective Members of Parliament. This is especially the case in Wellington Central, where two of the city's finest bloggers Jordan Carter and David Farrar are respective campaign managers for Labour's Marian Hobbs and National's Mark Blumsky. Should be beers all round after the election.
However, up the line at Ohariau-Belmont, United Future's Peter Dunne should get in so easily that he won't need a campaign manager. He`s been in Parliament just about as long as Tim Barnett's offsider Tony Milne, who is standing for Rakaia this year, has been alive.

Tony Milne does not have kids - neither does his male partner.
