Dismantling U2s Atomic Bomb

U2s album How To Dismantle An Atomic Bomb will be released here next week. It's their first studio album in four years.

I`ve already heard it. It has leaked all over the Internet like a puppy with bladder control problems. If you`re like me, and want to hear it before you buy it, you can listen to the whole album online now. And while you`re at it you can also check out the lyricsas well. And here's the Rolling Stone review

The first track Vertigo is a great rock track. It will top the charts, and I wouldn’t be surprised if the album tops the charts within the next two weeks, purely because of the fact it is U2. Vertigo was the working title of the album. Atomic Bomb is not the best U2 Album, but it is up there - It's just a pity it wasn't a whole album of Vertigo. It's the standout track by a mile IMHO. However tracks such as A Man and A Woman and Original Of The Species are both great slow tracks reminiscent of The Joshua Tree.

The album takes a couple of listens to get used to. And Vertigo is so unlike everything else on the album.

I'm intrigued dave.
You've listened to a song, several songs or the whole album?

Does the band have a website where you can download the album or parts to listen before you buy?

That seems a neat marketing strategy to get people to enjoy the songs first then go buy the album.
Does it work, do you think?
best

I have never been a great fan of U2, but I absolutely agree that 'vertigo' is a seriously kickass song. If not for Bono's distinctive voice, I would never have picked it as a U2 number.
If they continue to pump out more music of this ilk, I'll happily become a fan. Despite Bono's politics.
