Let Us Pray

The Phillipines Cabinet has turned to prayer for assistance to sort out fiscal problems.

"We pray for enlightenment for our legislators, that they may see the light towards passing the new revenue measures we badly need and refrain from passing new spending laws we cannot fund,"

"We pray for the goodwill of our people, that they may pay their taxes honestly and not expect doleouts from government all the time"

Well, lets hope New Zealand does not have too many issues with fiscal issues , budgeting and the like as the prayers of the faithful won't come from the Cabinet down here. They don`t even want to say grace when the Queen comes, let alone pray when trouble strikes (or is that the same thing to them….).
