Budget: $21m to let you know what you are entitled to

Yep it's outrageous. If each of the 300,000 households to benefit from the budget over the next four years was levied, it would have to pay $70.00 to sell the budget - The price tag - $21m. But these families won't be levied, the rich families will be paying for something they don't benefit from - and some of the poor won't pay at all as they don't pay tax. They are beneficaries.

The average increase over the four years per household is $66.00, according to Cullen. Increase that to about $100.00 if you don't include beneficaries who dont pay tax - that's $25.00 per family per year. Most families won't even get $25.00 assistance each week from 1 October this year. Wouldn't the $21m be better spent on poor families?

Why can't we increase the assistance and reduce the promotional price tag?
